The human race has been devastated by the aftermath of WWIII in 2027. World peace has been established under a central government, which has colonized Mars. For fifty years, astronauts constructed domes to support life, and residency began in 2080. The real story begins in Chapter 2 where we meet our hero Darren McAndrews and his four teammates who play the futuristic sport of Pounce. After an exhibition game, they are approached by two uniformed men who say that they are impressed by the team’s performance and want to discuss a matter of supreme importance. The players end up being part of the Martian Galactic Military. Both planets have secretly devised a military. The men explain to the team that their society on Mars is in danger of attack from the Earth military, and they want to enlist the help of the team members. They eventually convince the team to join the military and their struggle against the Earth. The book follows Darren and his team as they go through the trials and tribulations of the military, seeking out deadly threats, and dealing with personal trouble. Eventually, the Earth sends two ships to deal with the Martian Military. It falls to Darren and his team to infi ltrate one of the ships and eliminate the threat posed by Earth’s army. It would be their heroism that could save the people of Mars from the clutches of theEarth government and bring hope for future generations.
